It is written
” Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (James 1:17)
In our day and age it is easy to take things for granted. This is something I “try” to help my children understand, the need to be thankful AND Who to be thankful to. God has provided so many wonderful things to us and for us. The best of which is His salvation – this salvation saved me from my sin AND reformed/replaced/transformed/morphed my life into something else!
- I was LOST, but God saved me from my lost-ness.
- I was IGNORANT, but God gave me wisdom to understand Him.
- I was PROUD, but God humbled me when I recognized that I wasn’t God.
- I was SELFISH, but God gave me a wife and children to provide for and make me think of something else besides me AND gave me a ministry of encouragement.
God is good! I wasn’t … and God still loved me enough to save me. Not by ANYthing I did on my won, I am NO rockstar!
